Description: The Wynnum Community Centre is a heritage-listed, three-story, brick building, located at 105 Florence Street, Wynnum.

The venue is accessible by public transport, bus stop ‘Florence Street at Wynnum Central, Stop 97’ is a short distance away.

The venue has on-site parking, including one accessible parking space accessed from Charlotte Street, and two accessible parking spaces accessed from Florence Street.

All doors both internal and external are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.9 metres wide. On the ground level of the centre there is storage, and male and female amenities. Level 1 features Meeting Room 2 and offices, Level 2 features two halls and a gallery. Both Level 1 and 2 feature a kitchen and one accessible toilet. All hireable spaces have air-conditioning, ceiling fans and windows with pulley-operated blinds. The community centre faces Florence Street with the main entrance to the right of the external stairs on ground level, accessed through a blue metal door. This is one of two independently accessible entrances. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door.

Through this door is a small foyer that leads to a corridor. At the centre of this corridor is a lift, and at the end of each wing is a set of stairs. The ground-level foyer and corridor floors are concrete. All other corridors have vinyl flooring. To the right, on the left side of the corridor is the entry from the Charlotte Street carpark. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the right of this door. Across the corridor, slightly to the left, is the lift.

To the left, the corridor extends approximately 22 metres to a grey door. Through this door there is a secondary corridor. To the left there is a unisex accessible toilet with left-hand transfer, this door requires a swipe card for access using the black card reader to the left of this door. Adjacent to the unisex accessible toilet are the male toilets.

To the right along the secondary corridor are the female toilets and a second unisex accessible toilet with right-hand transfer. Both male and female toilets have an ambulant toilet with assistance rails. All bathrooms feature braille signage adjacent to each door. The male and female toilets are tiled and both unisex accessible toilets have vinyl flooring.

On Level 1 the lift opens into a corridor, which extends the length of the building. To the right, after approximately 22 metres, the corridor turns to the right again leading to a meeting room and accessible toilet.

Entry to the meeting room is through a glass door on the left side of the corridor, a swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the right of this door. This meeting room can accommodate up to 26 people. Tables and chairs are stored along the back wall of the room. The tables fold down and have wheels that make them easier to move and store. Also featured is a kitchenette, which includes a bar fridge, benchtop microwave, dishwasher, sink and a boiling and chilled water tap. The sink and benchtops are not wheelchair accessible. This meeting room has carpet flooring, except for the kitchenette which is vinyl.

To the right of the meeting room door is a grey door leading to a unisex accessible toilet with right hand transfer and baby change table. There is braille signage on the door to the toilet.

On Level 2 the lift also opens into a corridor, which extends the length of the building. To the left, after approximately 11 metres, a glass door on the right side of the corridor opens into the first of two halls.

A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door. This hall can accommodate up to 103 people. Tables are stored along the right-hand wall and chairs are stored against the wall opposite the entry door.

The hall features an audio-visual system that includes a projector, speakers and an infrared hearing-loop system. Audio-visual controls are located in the far left corner of the room. This hall has timber flooring.

Approximately seven metres to the left of the entry door is a kitchenette. This kitchenette features a bar fridge, benchtop microwave, dishwasher, sink and boiling and chilled water tap. The sink is not wheelchair accessible. The floor of the kitchenette is vinyl.

Returning to the lift and turning to the right, after approximately six metres there is a glass door on the left of the corridor that leads into the gallery. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door.

The gallery has timber flooring and can accommodate up to 12 people. Tables and chairs are stored adjacent to the entry. An art gallery hanging system is also featured along the left and right walls of the gallery.

Opposite the gallery is a grey door leading into a shared kitchen. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door. This kitchen features a cooktop and oven for reheating food only, fridge with freezer, benchtop microwave, dishwasher, double sink, boiling and chilled water tap and a separate wash basin. The sink and benchtops are not wheelchair accessible. A similar shared kitchen is also centrally located on Level 1, both have vinyl flooring.

Further down the corridor the next two glass doors on the left lead into the second hall. Both doors require a swipe card for access using the black card reader to the left of each door.

The hall can accommodate up to 100 people. Chairs are stored immediately to the left of the first entry door. To the right, at the front of the hall, is a stage with an accessible stage lift on the left. The hall features moveable stage stairs, piano and an advanced audio-visual system which includes a projector and speakers. This hall has an infrared hearing loop system. The audio-visual controls are in the rear corners of the stage. This hall has timber flooring.

Returning to the corridor, to the right of the second hall entry, is a grey door opening to steps, with assistance rails, leading to the back of stage area.

Following the main corridor to the right, there is a grey door on the left leading into a chair and table storage room. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door. At the end of the corridor is a unisex accessible toilet with left-hand transfer and baby change table. The bathroom has braille signage located on and adjacent to the door.
